Always seek to do what's right
I once reported to a manager who, whenever he was faced with a difficult choice, gathered his deputies around and asked "What's the Right Thing To Do here?"
He did this often enough that I found myself unconsciously adding the capital letters as shown above.
It's a very powerful concept, particularly if there is a high degree of alignment as to what the Right Thing To Do should be.
And if there isn't, it is a very powerful way to expose and deal with deep-seated disagreements in a group.
Finally, it enables individuals in stressful situations to get to the crux of an issue quickly, by identifying what they think is right, and allowing themselves to take action accordingly
